Lawrence is a conservation scientist and practitioner specialising in geospatial systems, remote sensing, ecological modeling, biodiversity monitoring and data analytics, with extensive international research and project leadership experience. He administered the Bugs Matter citizen science survey, is a qualified GVC drone pilot and British Exploring Society expedition leader, and supported the development of Wilder Carbon in the UK nature and carbon markets. His work has included research expeditions across Africa, South America, Europe, and the Middle East, and he appeared in the documentary Madagascar: Life on the Edge.
